Vincent Corona-Evans - VCE is a musician, an artist and storyteller who writes original songs, plays multiple instruments, records his own tracks, and has recently started to combine his talents into making music videos for his songs. Recently, his music video for his song "The River Song" was selected at the Sugar Loaf Film Festival in Sugar Loaf, NY. Although he enjoys experimenting with different styles, his music is a mix of 80s meets 90s with a little prog rock thrown in. Vincent studied at the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, where he developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling. He’s been an illustrator and graphic designer since the 90s and has dedicated over 18 years to teaching music, sharing his passion and knowledge with students of all ages. He's been writing songs since he was 12. He’s also a proud father and a husband of 28 years. Both his wife and 8-year-old son are a constant source of inspiration—and sometimes even co-creators. Whether it’s a fully produced song or a scrappy animated idea, Vincent Corona-Evans brings heart, humor, and a creative spirit to everything he does.

Making Waves

1. E Pluribus Unim Behold the halo flies from my head I begin to run, I begin to think I am the orphan child no longer I begin to see and my eyes blink It’s time Time to find the time Draw lines Lines to identify The love we give from the love we share Behold the tablets from which I read I begin to believe what I recite The cradle has fallen and lay broken in bits I begin to climb this mountain site It’s time Time to find the time Draw lines Lines to identify The love we give from the love you share I see the silhouette of a woman She’s coming in close let me touch her hand She brings to me a plan A plan to start again And I know I believe But your silent and aloof And I know I might be naive When you say you tell the truth And I know I believe You Behold the fires of the dragon himself I begin to desire the deep devine I passed his cave once without hesitance I begin to run and commit my crime It’s time Time to take steps back Draw lines Lines to identify the love we give from the love I take I , I am not the only one We are few to the billions of fools who plan to run We learn the lessons from the days of birth Unknowns move in the effet mirth Shadows in the basement Prints on the floor No one’s in the attic but you don’t dare open the door I see the silhouette of a woman She’s coming in close let me touch her hand She brings to me a plan A plan to start again And I know I believe But your silent and aloof And I know I might be naive When you say you tell the truth And I know I believe You ©Vincent Corona-Evans 1998

2. The River Song Nine-year-old me Wanderlust’s bittersweet Stepping through the sandy paths To unseen, uncharted lands Stillness at the riverside Wandering along the new town’s shoreline Seeking God knows what Under that vast open sky So tired of feeling bad Hoping to change the person inside Let a ghost or two escape tonight Feel free of responsibility Something you’ll see sooner or later You just found some time to kill…Stab Do we hold any meaning Amidst this chaos Ever-changing hues Watch the river’s changing mood And how the sky’s reflection changes us too So tired of feeling sad Hoping to change the person inside Let a tear or two escape tonight Right now responsibility Something you’ll see sooner or later You’ve always got time to kill…Stab Camouflaged from the world now A place so foreign and home so far behind Plans go astray Like winds pushing the river waves So tired of feeling mad Hoping to change the person inside Let a ghost or two escape tonight Feel free of responsibility Something you’ll need sooner or later You’ve almost never got time to kill… Stab ©Vincent Corona-Evans 2025

3. Come Back You can stay You can finish your plans now And it was never your gig And you never got paid You trade You say you got played But this is something not unlike the bed that you made Come back Come back Is the echo in your head now It gets louder the further You make it away This is not something That they say We all need So I’m going home These are all the pieces left behind Someone found them in a dumpster Off County Line Funny how things come back No matter how hard you try To hide them Come back Come back Is the echo in your head now And echoes are free So I’m going home It’s 12 o’clock on the wall Funny how rocks feel good to throw Along the water that I call home We all need to go home Today Tonight And tomorrow ©Vincent Corona-Evans 2025

4. Gravity Woke up from a memory To the vastness of a galaxy Loneliness held his heart Like gravity’s pull can break a world apart On a manned mission of one The station’s work must be done Surprise knocking on the door Ever try to run floating feet off the floor Feet off the floor He said, “It might seem rude, but knocking doors at this altitude. Tell me what does it mean?” She said, “Answer it and see Gravity pulls at you and pushes me.” He closed his eyes and let her in. It seems the beauty of her face Stopped the vacuum of space She floated in like few do He said, “Is this a dream or are you a dream come true?” She smiled, “Honestly I’m pissed. No one down there knows I exist. So I float here from time-to-time. They act like it’s a crime to live above the line?” Memories I held in high reverie but here’s a funny little fact: I ain’t ever going back. Gravity pulls at you and pushes me. Thank you for letting me in.” As the Sun crests over Mars “We declare the station ours. C'est la vie, give them our regards.” They set a new heading to find something new and to live among the stars. Memories They both held in reverie but a funny little fact: They ain’t ever going back. Gravity pulls and now they’ll see what they call home. ©Vincent Corona-Evans 2025

5. Crush You laugh like a door left open Let the sunlight fill the room For a moment she was hoping she’d say something smart to you But it feels a lot like truth And that's so damn hard to do And you’re sure she’s not saying anything That’s outside the scope of what you already knew was true Look around you must agree The Earth spins differently Like rain remembers thunder And the sky you're under You’re so used to rain And greys and haze and now its so damn hard to see And you’re sure you’re not saying anything That’s outside the scope of what she already knew was true You touched her hand last Tuesday You still think about it now And you crossed your fingers, laughed out, and told her how you feel And let yourself allow the words come out somehow And you’re sure you’re not saying anything That’s outside the scope of what she already knew was true ©Vincent Corona-Evans 2025

7. Making Waves No shelter no safety You run out under the ignorant rain More things you may wonder Like foul play and exit signs And no one’s ever taken to Your summits or your caves No one’s life is there for you to save Dissatisfied And uniformed You hate making waves You wish you were never born So unassuming It’s a free call For those who want you But can’t have it all I’m sure it’s not so tangible When drawn out in your hands The things you take so serious Like making space and taking love And no one’s ever found the reasons Behind your demands Rest in peace within your wonderland Dissatisfied And uniformed You hate making waves You wish you were never born So unassuming It’s a free call For those who want you But can’t have it all You don’t owe those you outgrow When they’re few and far between They call all hours and send you flowers Beware their arms and dopamine And now its done and all word spun Take notice which ones stay They’ll sing the words but the songs won’t sound the same Dissatisfied And uniformed You hate making waves You wish you were never born So unassuming But It’s a free call For those who want you But can’t have it all ©Vincent Corona-Evans 1998

8. Home at Both Ends As the highway drifts along with the radio Evening lights just flash upon the ceiling of your uncle’s car Some songs you can’t recall etched a feeling in your brain Under the evening star that plays to those backseat trips The raindrops race on those stormy days blurring the landscape into streaks of muted greens and grays. Feel the miles, it takes awhile for the sickness to subside Seems the time you spend with a home at both ends Another highway, you cover up your eyes Blind is how you go A game unaware exactly why Two homes have different skies, different reasons, different whys Different lives to lead, different lies to believe Feel the tires, see the wires Pass along the window like a movie screen of a winter scene Feel the miles, it takes awhile So close your eyes and dream More time to pretend with a home at both ends The days and nights thru the seasons Don’t explain all the reasons But at least you got to go to see the show Is it night or dawn? Are you half way there or half way gone? Fading like the trip you’re on It took you years to comprehend you have a home at both ends ©Vincent Corona-Evans 2025
